Claire
Scully graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2006 with an MA in
Communication Design and has been working ever since as a freelance
illustrator. Working across many disciplines using drawing, painting,
photography and digital collage as her main image making process
Claire also frequently collaborates with other creatives including
a furniture maker and fellow illustrator Susie Wright.
Inspiration
for personal work comes from her hometown surroundings of 'urban'
London and its relationship with the natural world and a fascination
with science fiction books and movies. Her work displays a mix of
strange utopian worlds and parallel universes with juxtapositions
of the unexpected, playing with scale and narrative.
