About me...

Claire Scully graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2006 with an MA in Communication Design and has been working ever since as a freelance illustrator. Working across many disciplines using drawing, painting, photography and digital collage as her main image making process Claire also frequently collaborates with other creatives including a furniture maker and fellow illustrator Susie Wright.

Inspiration for personal work comes from her hometown surroundings of 'urban' London and its relationship with the natural world and a fascination with science fiction books and movies. Her work displays a mix of strange utopian worlds and parallel universes with juxtapositions of the unexpected, playing with scale and narrative.

Clients include: New York Times, The Guardian, Penguin books, Random House, Howies, Wallpaper magazine, Lane Crawford and celine.
